After getting a few queries and missing out few clients to be…I was compelled to do a research and write this post. When expectations for Udaipur, Jaipur & Goa were high, I was amazed to get queries over mails and phone calls for wedding destinations in Haryana. Most of those queries were from New Delhi/NCR. People inquired about Picturesque Destinations, Heritages & more…and I could do little to help them find suitable Wedding Destinations in Haryana.
Well never thought so deeply about this that Haryana could be one amongst weddings destinations in India. But who would not want an inquiry to turn up as a client! So after a humble research I had listed 3 Destinations in Haryana that can do justice to Destination Weddings and obviously this post is for all those who are looking out to inquire for wedding Destinations in Haryana.

1) Manesar
Even After visiting the popular Damdama Lake, I never thought of Manesar being a Wedding Destination. But my research on this location caught the fact that Manesar can actually prove as a Wedding Destination and with time it will grow any may become one of the popular Wedding Destinations of India.
a) Popular Culture
About a 2 hour journey from the National Capital, Manesar is a fast developing industrial town situated in Gurgaon district of Haryana. Located near the city of Gurgaon, Manesar enjoys heavy influx of tourists all round the year. Manesar is located on NH 8 and it is well connected to major cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, etc. Situated on the lower Aravalli Ranges, Manesar lies on a hilltop. Besides the idyllic beauty of the Aravalli Ranges, Manesar has many places of tourist interest
b) Destination Weddings
The culture of Destination Weddings in Manesar is still developing. However the town offers beautiful Heritage Castles and 5* Resorts which can host both Traditional & Contemporary style weddings. 2) Morni Hills
The only hill station in Haryana. Heard about it a while ago from a friend, never thought it could be amongst the wedding destinations in India. Morni is a village and tourist attraction in the Morni Hills at the height of 1267 meters. 3) Karnal
Many times I had passed by the roads of this city, never a thought crossed my mind of imagining Karnal as a Wedding Destination in Haryana. My research took me to a world in this city which I never thought was existing. And now I know why I am suggesting this as a Wedding Destination.
a) Popular Culture
Karnal, is one of the oldest districts of Haryana. The city has gained importance since Mahabharata era. The city is known as a walled town. Some of the dignitaries have their association with the city of Karnal. Not to forget ,Late Dr. Kalpana Chawla, an Indian-American scientist and NASA astronaut was born in a Punjabi Hindu family at Model Town, Karnal.
b) Destination Weddings
About 2 hour journey from the national capital, Karnal houses beautiful heritage castles which are now transformed into luxury hotels and 5* Resorts with dignified picturesque backdrops. Karnal is developing as a popular destination for Royal weddings given to its importance by the NRI’s and the affluent from Delhi/NCR who are flocking with their families to celebrate a dignified wedding in the Heritage Castles. A grand wedding can be celebrated in these castles which can match up to the weddings celebrated in Udaipur & Jaipur in Rajasthan.

However a couple can celebrate their Destination Wedding anywhere in India according to their wish, but making a wise decision in this could be better paid –off.
2) Climatic variations of the Season
Season is another criterion when planning a Destination Wedding in India. Climatic conditions may differ from place to place in different seasons. 4)A 4* Property cannot be hired at the price of a 2* for Guest Accomodation
A Destination Wedding can be only celebrated in a Hotel/Resort that has ample space for hosting wedding functions at ease. A hotel/resort with lawns, terrace gardens, pool areas are much appreciated in such cases. Anyhow a couple has to choose from 3*/4*/5* properties for these functions as 2* properties might not have such facilities. A couple can arrange accommodation for their guests in many ways. For Example:A couple can choose from 3*/4* or even 5* properties for guest accommodation, if they are willing to spend. For couples who are on a classified budget can choose from 2* properties to accommodate their guests and host functions at 5* properties close by.
*If hiring a wedding planner to make such arrangements couples should be clear with their choices. For Example: Do not expect a planner to get a 4* property at the price of a 2*. This is a misconception that a planner can get everything done at the best price or more frankly ‘low price’. Couples shall understand that best price doesn’t mean buying diamond at the price of silver. It is true that a planner can arrange things at a better pricing, but not at the cost of their own pocket. No Hotel/Resort shall compromise with the pricing at a risk of loss. Planners can’t accommodate extra guests for FREE unless they own the hotel/resort.*
6)Co-operation of Couples at times of Contingency
Whether or not you have a wedding planner on board, Destination Wedding planning is a much stressful task. Your wedding planner is a guide, support & shield to all the assistance you need and the stress you feel in planning your Destination Wedding.
