Tanya contacted us online to plan a mountain destination wedding in Shimla. Meanwhile the pandemic arrived in India and the destination wedding plan had to take a back seat but Tanya didn’t give up. She collected all her enthusiasm and planned a regal wedding in Rohtak. Though Rohtak is Garvit’s hometown, Tanya and her family traveled from Allahabad and enjoyed the feel of a destination wedding.
Celebrations started with a traditional haldi ceremony following a classic sangeet night on the first day and rolled over with the tilak ceremony and wedding ceremony on the final day. Tanya planned everything beautifully and took utmost care to ensure safety of her guests so they could enjoy her special day amidst the pandemic.
Garvit and Tanya are college sweethearts. Both of them are successful engineers working in Bangalore. While Garvit has a cool personality, Tanya has an enchanting one. Their personalities make them a perfectly balanced couple.

LOGISTICS

So the costs would be somewhat around the following:
•Luxury Bus, 49 seater: INR 25K + GST onwards for 8hours, cost may not depend on KMs in this case.
•AC coaches, 12 seater: INR 10K + GST onwards for 8hours, cost may depend on KMs or Hours, whichever is greater.

Quirk, Class and Great Fun defines the fusion wedding of Ranjani and Matt in Hyderabad.
Ranjani contacted us online from New Zealand and after 18 months of detailed planning – we finally presented Ranjani and Matt Wedding in Hyderabad. The fun part is we got to meet Ranjani and Matt only 2 days ahead of their wedding. Almost everything was planned on online correspondence. And yes, it was planned to perfect!
It was a pleasure hosting the guests from New Zealand, who were in India for the first time to observe a wedding, along with the guests from India who were fun to be with.

However, intimacy is not just only about the limited guest number. But about the destination wedding venue, the wedding services and of course the wedding budget that suits the couple and works parallel with all the wedding requirements.
Following is an overall understanding of how to calculate the budget for an intimate destination wedding in Sri Lanka:
Location
Colombo, Negombo, Galle are the destinations considering their proximity to the international airport. Wedding properties are located around a distance of 30 – 35 mins drive from the international airport.
Waskaduwa and Wadduwa are located at a distance of an hour drive from the international airport. All of these locations offer beach properties to host an intimate destination wedding in Sri Lanka.
2. Accommodation, F&B and Venue
For intimate weddings its recommended that you consider boutique beach resorts in which the privacy of your wedding event is taken care of. There are quite a few resorts that offer customized packages for bridal party and guests. These resorts usually have an inventory of 40 – 50 rooms for accommodation. They may offer a banquet/Lawn/Pool area to host events. These resorts also offer food catering for gala events from their in house resort restaurant. However, you may consider this option only when you are not overwhelmed or fussy about venue choices.
COST: $150 onwards per person per day
INCLUSION: Accommodation + 3 meals
3. Decor + Event Services
A gathering between 80 – 100 people is considered as maximum for an intimate event. Decor and event services could be customized as per the requirement of the event. It may also depend on how elaborate the couple wants to be. However, below is a fair idea for your intimate Indian destination wedding in Sri Lanka:
COST: $3000 onwards per event. ( Welcome Dinner/Sangeet/Pool Party/Wedding/Reception).
INCLUSION: Decor of venue (pool/lawn/banquet) with florals, props, seating furniture for guests and the couple. Includes lights, PA system and Genset. It may however, also include DJ with console for entertainment.
4. Entertainment + Artiste services
A collective package of local entertainment artists are recommended to entertain your guests while being on a budget.
COST:$1200 onwards per event.
INCLUSION: DJ with console, Local musical band. Welcome hostess, welcome dancers, event anchor. Groom entry on elephant etc.
Make up Artiste: $250 onwards per event for bride. Includes, make up, hair and draping.
Mehendi Artiste: $120 onwards per event for bride. Includes, mehendi design in hands and feet.
5. Photo – Video
It is recommended for an intimate destination wedding in Sri Lanka, you choose the services of a local photographer. They offer professional services at pocket friendly budgets. It could save you some bucks on costs of travel and stay of a photographer from a distant location.
COST:$1800 onwards per day.
